Honsfeld, Belgium, 17 December 1944: Kampfgruppe Peiper reacted quickly to a breakthrough forced by elements of the 3rd Fallschirmjaeger Division along its designated route, Rollbahn D. The lead elements of the Kampfgruppe moved through Honsfeld, joining the withdrawing elements of an American column in the darkness without being noticed. Later during the morning of December 17th the fallschirmjaegers began clearing the village of the now-alerted men of the 99th Infantry Division and 14th Cavalry Group. A platoon from the 10th Flak Company, bringing up the rear of Peiper's column, took anti-tank fire as it moved through Honsfeld and immediately became embroiled in the fight. The first of its Ostwinds was hit by shell fire as it edged around an 'S' bend past some buildings. The fire revealed the presence of an American AT-gun, but failed to halt the first German AFV. It kept heading on down the road while a second Ostwind was destroyed by fire from the gun. The third Flak tank raced by as a round from the American gun went wide. The fourth vehicle, commanded by Karl Wortmann, took aim at the barn concealing the gun and destroyed it with one burst of fire. American resistance soon dropped off, owing in part to the fact that most of the soldiers in Honsfeld were service troops...

Bulge Pak 1 tells the story of the Battle of the Bulge with a new rendition of the former 'Euro Pack II' scenarios and then some. Everything has been remastered and the set includes new bonus material, including two geomorphic boards in 'starter kit' format. What's more, five of the scenarios use the new CH4 river board and three of those are non-Bulge situations included as a FREE bonus just to get you more action on the new board. Kampfgruppe Peiper, Volksgrenadiers, and American paratroopers all make an appearance. ASLComp Nordic Twilight and Darkest December make perfect 'brother game' purchases for this product due to all the colour counters they provide - and that can be used in Bulge Pak I minimising the quantity of 'standard' die-cut counters you'll need to deploy from your collection.

NOTE: This is not a complete game. Ownership of Beyond Valor and Yanks is necessary to play this game.

Contents:

  • One sheet of Nordic Twilight FREE bonus counters providing some of the AFVs used in the scenarios
  • Two 8" x 22" geomorphic 'starter kit' style boards
  • 14 scenarios on 7 cards - including 3 bonus scenarios that use the new CH4 river geo board
  • Reviews Review Game There is no review for this game at the moment why not be the first to review it (you never know you might win a prize)?
